As some of you know I’ve recently been performing with a band, and we have a very important gig coming up this month. It’s a charity do to help raise money for the Kendal Middleton Jessop appeal. Kendal is a 3-year-old girl from Leeds who has had her life changed forever after being diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare form of cancer which had spread to every bone in her body, leaving her with only a 40% chance of survival. She’s currently undergoing chemotherapy and fighting every step of the way.
The event that has been put together is to raise money for Kendal’s appeal and ensure that her treatment continues, and her chances of relapse are greatly reduced.
Date: Friday 19th July
Venue: The Irish Centre (Leeds), York Road, Leeds LS9 9NT
Ticket price: £10
To book: Call 07540 706582 or email firstname.lastname@example.org
Sunday was a fun day. I was rudely awakened at 6:30am (a time I rarely see on a Sunday) before strapping on my running gear and attaching a race number to my shirt. I spent a few minutes wondering how I’d gotten myself into this position.
